A wonderfully kept cafe, for snacks, sandwiches, cakes, teas, and coffees. Only small, but great atmosphere to read or write letters. Lovely staff. If you find you need a large meal, I would suggest you eat elsewhere, but save space for pudding, then come and have that here, as they really are the best puddings in town. It has a lovely gift shop too.

Really welcoming and friendly staff, even my dog was greeted with a treat and fresh water from the bowl. Bought a pudding to try at home and was delighted to hear all about how it was made. Coffee was divine too and it was refreshing to be greeted so warmly when turning up 10 minutes before closing. Thank you

Terrific deli and cafe just across from the opera house. We enjoyed our lunch in the cafe. And were able to take some delicious things home. Including the lovely Buxton pudding

A lovely shop selling lots of indie brands of goods. We came to try out the puddings and they were delicious!! They also have a selection of cakes and sausage rolls. They’re also dog friendly inside the cafe area!

Visited The Pudding Emporium as I thought it a cute and quirky idea for a business. And I wanted to try the Buxton Pudding. Which didn't disappoint. I had the homemade vegetable soup with bread and butter. Hubby enjoyed a cheese toastie with veg crisps and side salad. Both meals were delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered my Buxton Pudding which arrived with its custard. Absolutely delicious. So good hubby ordered one and he isn't a pudding man. Lovely shop with all manner of foods and gift items. Lovely little place to visit. Highly recommend.

Brilliant service. I travelled 20 mile to buy one of their Buxton puddings to give as a gift but they'd sold out :( they told me to come another day but then the owner told me he'd post me one out next day delivery free! Wow you made my Xmas thanks guys! 5* I'll definitely be back

Lovely people here. My son didn’t like his beans on toast, all a bit homemade for him, so she brought him out a bagel and butter. My bagel was good.

Really good homemade food. A lot of things on the menu you can also buy in the shop. I had the Buxton Pudding, which was really good but I don't understand why they serve it with cold "custard"??? Expectation is that custard is hot! It's more of a thick, sweet vanilla cream that it comes with. Perhaps the menu should describe this. Anyway, enjoyed everything and bought a tea loaf to take home. It's the tastiest tea loaf ever! Rich and not overly sweet. I'd like to return and try more from the menu!!... and shop!
